Young Architect Conference 2019

Role: Producer

“In the month since the conference, with energy showing no signs of waning, multiple attendees have found the courage and given themselves permission to:

Launch the blogs or social media accounts they’d been wanting to launch

Made plans for meetups between attendees living in the same cities as one another

Attend other conferences and events to build on the energy sparked at the Young Architect Conference

Shake off online trolls attacking their credentials by replying with a well-reasoned, thoughtful, response

QUIT THEIR JOB that was toxic and draining, to pursue goals more aligned with their values”

- Excerpt from Young Architect Conference 2019: One Month Later by Portland Design Pup

After visiting and speaking at architecture conferences across the country, Michael Riscica felt disappointed at the lack of events catering to young and emerging architects in the profession. He decided to take matters into his own hands and we worked with him to create the Young Architect Conference. The inaugural conference for architects, by architects took place in Portland, Oregon. An intimate gathering of young architects with the goals of connecting community, serving others and building a better future for young architects everywhere.

Key responsibilities: vendor coordination, creative direction, print production, stage design and layout, comprehensive budget oversight, team management
